A: Any person juristic (legal entity, corporate, organisation including non-profit) and natural persons can apply for registration of a trademark in Zimbabwe.

2. Can you apply for a colour trademark?

A: One can apply for a colour trademark but we one can choose to register without imitation of colour, thus making it registered in all colours 

3. In how many classes can a trademark be registered?

A: This solely depends on the type of mark, it can be registered in one class or more. Classes 1-34 representgoodsand Classes 35-45 represent services.

4. How long does it take to acquire a trademark? 

A: Registration of take can take up to 4 months.

5. How long is the Zimbabwean Trademark valid for? 

A: 10years

6. Is it possible to renew a Zimbabwean trademark and if so for how long?

A: It is possible to renew a trademark and for another period of ten years after expiry of the first 10 years
